Hey LLA,

HAPPY HOLI !!! 🎨

Before starting this edition, I have one question for you – what is one thing you think you cannot live without? Phone? Laptop? TV? 📱💻📺

Have you ever thought about what life would be like without electricity? As all the above things you say you cannot live without needs electricity to function. 💡

And talking about electricity, have you ever wondered about opting for solar power? ☀️

Two years ago, Our solar adventure began with a whirlwind of questions: How much power will it generate? Can it work during rainy days? What are the costs and subsidies? Choosing the right equipment and understanding the balance between cost and efficiency are crucial steps.

Today, in this edition we’re here to share the light on this path, making it brighter for every Indian household considering solar energy. ✨

Why Consider Solar Power?
Solar power is not just an investment in your home; it’s an investment in a sustainable future. Our experience with a 5 KW solar plant installation opened our eyes to the financial and environmental perks of going solar. From the direction and angle of the panels to the cost and savings, every little detail contributes to its efficiency. 🌱💰

There are mainly two types of rooftop solar systems:

1. Off-Grid System: It works independently with an attached battery and is more on the expensive side. 🔋
2. On-Grid System: It connects to your local power grid and is more cost-effective since it doesn't require batteries. 💼

For now let's focus on the on-grid system, the most wallet-friendly choice for most of us. In case you want to know more about the ‘off-grid system’, please write back to us and we’ll share our insights on it as well.

Setting Up Your Rooftop Solar System

To embark on your solar journey, follow these steps:
1. Determine the Size: First, figure out the size of the system you need. Our easy-to-use tool, mentioned in our detailed handbook, will guide you through this. 📐
2. Choose a Vendor: Select panels from government-approved vendors for a subsidy. Your local DISCOM can point you in the right direction. 🏢
3. Installation: After purchasing, install the panels and connect them to your local grid through DISCOM. 🛠️
4. Net Metering: DISCOM will set up a net meter to track the electricity you consume versus what you produce. ⚖️

How Many Panels Do You Need?

The number of panels you need depends on the available rooftop space and your electricity usage. Generally, a 1 kWh panel requires about ten square meters. For better returns on investment, base your calculations on the consumption at the highest tariff rates. 📊

Why Make the Switch?

Switching to solar reduces your electricity bills and promotes environmental sustainability. 🌍➡️💡

Wondering if it’s the right move for you?
